I am National Old-Time Country Music Hall-of-Famer 'Ragtime' Jack Radcliffe, and I’d love to bring my entertaining, informative and uplifting show to your library.
I provide an informative and witty running commentary to go along with vocal renderings of songs from America's Ragtime, Early Jazz, and Country traditions, with lots of opportunities for audience participation. I accompany myself on piano, guitar, and fiddle (not simultaneously … at least not yet!).
I bring my experience as a historian, a newspaper editor, and a tall ship captain to build cultural context – and provide some entertaining tales – into all my performances.
I have successfully performed at libraries, concert halls, and senior residence complexes throughout the United States, including the Dennis, Morrill, Taunton and Walpole libraries in Massachusetts; the Torrington and Bristol libraries in Connecticut, the Penn Area Library in Harrison City, PA; The Hays Memorial Library in Hays, KS; and the Rodgers library in Hudson, NH.
