Presented by Dagen Valentine and Connie Hancock, Extension Educators, Nebraska Extension. A University of Nebraska Innovation Makerspace Co-Laboratory was launched in Sidney, Nebraska at the local library this last December. This effort is part of a long term goal of building a network of makerspaces around the state in small towns and places. The space will help advance an experimental model of interdisciplinary learning, educational innovation focused on rapid prototyping and making. Learn key steps needed to build a collaborative makerspace and how the space can be used for economic opportunity.
